Coming Up the Straits of Georgia Early in the Morning (1977)

Woodcut
Dale DeArmond
Artist's Edition: 15

Image size: 15" x 23"

Editor's note: this is one of Dale's rare six-color woodcut print titles. The Strait of Georgia is an arm of the Pacific Ocean between Vancouver Island and the upper Northwestern coast of Washington State.

While traveling by ferry, an early morning view of the Strait of Georgia with wisps of fog on the nearby mountains and sun-tinged pink clouds were the inspiration for this woodcut.
