First Disaster – Eskimo Legend (c. 1976)

Woodcut
Dale DeArmond
Unlimited Edition
Unknown proofs were produced

AKA: The First Disaster

Editor's note: while Dale created and cut the blocks to this title, an unnumbered and undated example indicates that students of a Kivalina, Alaska school pulled the print (under Dale's signature, she wrote "imp [imprinted] by students of Kivalina village").

It is worth noting that Dale had created the woodcut print Kivalina – Arctic Eskimo Village in 1975, so this title could also date to around that time period; it's also possible that DeArmond pulled a print run of this title herself.
