An Athabascan folktale from the Yukon River country. A baby sees a butterfly and his sister runs after it to catch it for him and runs clear up into the sky where she is captured by Spider Woman for a wife for her youngest son. But the girl grieves so for her family that Spider Woman eventually spins a long thread and lowers the girl back to earth.
