Casey Moran, who would later become a newspaper man in Dawson, ran an ice business in Juneau and advertised his wares with a sign which read, "Ice for sale – by the pound, ton, or burg." The bars used the beautiful, glittering ice in drinks and old-timers claim that the drinks in Juneau have never been as good since they stopped using glacier ice.
